NEW IODIUM MODEL

(Updated: 2024-11-28. Comments to: guillermo2046(at)gmail.com writing in the Subject:"BIOKMOD").

Iodine ICRP model according to ICRP 130 and ICRP 137.
Different intake pathways can be selected by the user and different kind of intakes (acute or chronic). If chronic intake is chosen then the last day of exposure should be indicated and after this date it is assumed that the intake ceases.
The decay constant is charged choosing the isotope, if not available it can be entered, expresed in days^-1, writing its value (e.g 0.011674 for I 125 or, if you know that the half-life is 59.4 days, you can write Log[2]/59.4).
The recommended parameter values for I are:
(i) Inhalation Factores (By defauld is assumed Iodine vapour with 50% in ET2 and 50% in BB, Table 5.2 of ICRP 137){fA,fr, sr,ss}=> F (By default): {0.99, 1, 100, "na"};M={0.2, 0.2, 3, 0.005}; S= {0.01, 0.01, 3, 0.0001};
(ii) Ingestion:{fA=0.99};
(iii) Injection: always is used fA=0.99.
Other parameter values instead of the recommended ones can be entered.
Five kind of reports can be selected: BioassayReport, GraphicsReport (a LogPlot is shown), CompartmentContents , ResponseFuntion or Disintegrations (TIAC in h and acumulated disintegrations in Bqs)

Select pathway: Intake type: Time of exposure for chronic intake (in days): (needed if constant intake is selected)
Decay constant (in days^-1): Or

In case of ingestion. fA (for Ingestion): Or

In case of inhalation select: CLASS: Or

Report type:
Addional days to the included by default to be shown in different reports. If GraphicsReport is selected them the min and the max values to will be used in the graph representation:

Push EVALUATE, wait a few seconds.
